About The Position

The Senior Resident Engineer supports transportation construction projects through the construction phases, providing field contract administration and coordination for diverse and complex programs or projects. The role supports the construction management team by monitoring and controlling contractor activities in accordance with design specifications and contractual requirements. The Resident Engineer reports to the Project Manager. The position is primarily field-based and operates outdoors, with conditions and physical demands varying according to project requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
At least ten years of building construction management experience.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Successful completion of applicable pre-employment substance screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

Oversee project administration throughout the construction cycle, including technical, financial, and client-satisfaction matters.
Manage construction projects from contract award through completion.
Assist with contractor coordination and scheduling.
Maintain project budgets and schedules in accordance with cost and delivery contractual commitments.
Monitor construction and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Deliver a weekly report on project status.
