About The Position

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated, team-focused individual to work on public infrastructure projects. The Resident Engineer provides construction oversight and management for transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. The role oversees field staff and contractors at project sites and ensures construction quality in accordance with plans and specifications. It also involves managing project layout, inspection, documentation, pay estimates, closeout, and resolution of material deficiencies; providing technical advice on project design and construction when warranted; and coordinating effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A valid driver’s license.
Willingness to embrace and align with EEI’s mission and core values.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; preferred but not required.
A PE license or EIT; preferred but not required. Experience and certification may be substituted for licensure.
Job-related certifications, such as IDOT and CMMS; preferred but not required.
