About The Position

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated, team-focused Resident Engineer to work on public infrastructure projects. The role provides construction oversight and management for transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. The Resident Engineer oversees field staff and contractors at project sites and ensures construction quality in accordance with plans and specifications. The position manages project layout, inspection, documentation, pay estimates, closeout, and resolution of material deficiencies, and provides technical advice when warranted during project design and construction. It also requires effective communication and coordination with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred but not required.
PE license or EIT is preferred but not required; experience and certification may be substituted for licensure.
Job-related certifications, such as IDOT and CMMS, are preferred but not required.
