Anduril•Waltham, MA
•$191,000 - $254,000

About The Position

Anduril’s Senior Research Scientists develop state-of-the-art algorithms and software to solve scientific problems with real-world applications. They work in small, innovative teams and carry research through from initial development to deployment in mission-critical systems, helping government and industry customers achieve successful outcomes. The role contributes expertise and ideas to team direction, develops mathematically principled solutions to challenging information-science problems, prototypes algorithms, implements high-performance software, and uses modeling, simulation, analysis tools, and compute clusters to measure technology benefits. It also involves engaging with customers and explaining technical work to colleagues and customers. Candidates should have an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field, a record of academic excellence, and demonstrated experience in most of the listed areas of applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing, and probability. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as is eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance. Transcripts are requested during the early application process; unofficial online transcripts are acceptable, and applicants who do not provide them should supply detailed information about relevant academic performance, coursework, and projects. The stated U.S. salary range is $191,000–$254,000, base salary only. Actual offers may vary based on experience, education or training, skills, and business considerations. The posting says highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and describes Anduril’s benefits as top-tier and available at little to no cost, but does not enumerate specific benefits.
