FL114: Senior Research Associate, Genomics
About The Position
FL114, Inc. is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join its Genomics team. The role is focused on NGS-based molecular biology and supports the development and advancement of epigenetic editing programs, from early discovery research through preclinical development and beyond. The successful candidate will be an essential member of a close-knit team of experimental and computational scientists, working in a fast-paced, cross-functional scientific environment. The position involves executing high-throughput NGS-based functional genomics assays to address research and development needs in cell state mapping and therapeutic molecular validation. The Senior Research Associate will collaborate with research teams to develop and support fit-for-purpose NGS solutions and molecular and cellular assay technologies, and will contribute to specialized molecular assay development and execution.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience performing NGS library preparation for Illumina platforms.
- Familiarity with ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Methyl-Seq, and/or 10X Single-cell.
- Direct experience operating Illumina instruments.
- Familiarity with liquid handlers and Kingfisher automation.
- Proficiency with quantification and QC platforms such as Qubit and TapeStation/BioAnalyzer.
- Hands-on experience with core molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction and purification, PCR/qPCR, and restriction digestion/ligation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize assays and protocols.

- Experience in an industrial, drug-development environment.
- Experience in immunological indications.
