The USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Titus Family Department of Clinical Pharmacy, seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate for ongoing research in cancer genomics and therapeutics. The translational genomics and experimental therapeutics lab identifies and investigates novel therapeutic targets in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and develops new therapeutic strategies. The lab also characterizes the immune repertoire of AML patients using TCRseq analysis to support the development of neoantigen prediction algorithms, which are validated in cellular and animal models. The position is suited to a highly motivated scientist proficient in routine molecular biology techniques for genomics and epigenomic studies, with hands-on experience in high-throughput assays and next-generation sequencing platforms. The candidate should have a strong background in cancer biology and immunology, as well as computational biology, bioinformatics, or biostatistics. Computational experience with bioinformatic tools and packages is needed. Experience mining omics datasets or developing pipelines or software for large biological datasets is desired. The postdoctoral scholar will work in a highly collaborative USC research environment, with opportunities and encouragement to submit fellowship and grant applications. Applicants should submit a statement of research interests and career goals, a curriculum vitae including bibliography, and names and contact information for three references. A Ph.D. is required.
