About The Position
FL114, Inc. is seeking an outstanding Scientist to join its Genomics team. The role is for an NGS-focused molecular biologist who will contribute to the development and advancement of epigenetic editing programs, from early discovery research through preclinical development and beyond. The successful candidate will be an essential member of a close-knit team of experimental and computational scientists and should be enthusiastic, detail oriented, adaptive, highly motivated, and passionate about bringing novel medicines to patients. Candidates should be comfortable working on a fast-paced, cross-functional scientific team. Requirements
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, or a related field, or a BS/MS with 7+ years of relevant NGS experience.
- Direct experience performing NGS library preparation for Illumina platforms.
- Familiarity with ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Methyl-Seq, and/or 10X Single-cell.
- Familiarity with Illumina instrumentation, liquid handlers, and Kingfisher automation.
- Deep theoretical and applied knowledge of core molecular biology tenets.
- Demonstrated experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing assays and protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an industrial, drug-development environment.
- Immunology-related experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute NGS-based functional genomics assays in a high-throughput production environment to address R&D needs in cell state mapping and therapeutic molecular validation.
- Own the development and optimization of fit-for-purpose NGS solutions and molecular and cellular assay technologies.
- Contribute directly at the bench in a small team, with a focus on technical depth.
