About The Position

FL114, Inc. is seeking an NGS-focused molecular biologist to join its Genomics team and support the development and advancement of epigenetic editing programs, from early discovery research through preclinical development and beyond. The successful candidate will be an essential member of a close-knit team of experimental and computational scientists, working in a fast-paced, cross-functional scientific environment. The position emphasizes innovation, careful experimental execution, adaptability, and motivation to help bring novel medicines to patients.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience performing NGS library preparation for Illumina platforms.
Familiarity with ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Methyl-Seq, and/or 10X Single-cell.
Direct experience operating Illumina instruments.
Familiarity with liquid handlers and KingFisher automation.
Proficiency with quantification and quality-control platforms such as Qubit and TapeStation/BioAnalyzer.
Hands-on experience with core molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction and purification, PCR/qPCR, and restriction digestion/ligation.
Comfort troubleshooting and optimizing assays and protocols.

Nice To Haves

Experience in an industrial, drug-development environment.
Experience in immunological indications.

Responsibilities

Execute NGS-based functional genomics assays in a high-throughput production environment to address R&D needs in cell state mapping and therapeutic molecular validation.
Collaborate with research teams to develop and support fit-for-purpose NGS solutions and molecular and cellular assay technologies.
Contribute to the development and execution of specialized molecular assays.
