About The Position

Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state. Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets. Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Regulatory & Land Services Analyst. In this position, you will play a key role in providing support to the Regulatory, Land, and Permitting function, with accountability for advancing management systems, business processes, and governance. This position offers the opportunity to help in the development and continuous improvement of reporting, tracking, and analytics tools—including the integration of automation and AI—to enhance data quality, transparency, and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic team environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • An ability to influence key stakeholders and contributors to the success of department goals and objectives.
  • Excellent information systems skills, technical skills and software skills.
  • Experience in the development of reporting and tracking tools.
  • A track record of delivering high‑quality work, managing competing priorities, and supporting key business processes or operational functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels across the organization.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation of business processes by identifying inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop practical, data-driven recommendations and support implementation to enhance operational performance and consistency.
  • Conduct comprehensive process reviews, gap analyses, and requirements assessments to inform strategic and operational decision-making, translating findings into clear recommendations aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting tools and dashboards that provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights, enhancing transparency, supporting performance monitoring, and enabling effective decision-making at both operational and leadership levels.
  • Develop and manage schedules and implementation plans for initiatives, including defining milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor progress, track deliverables, and proactively identify and resolve risks to ensure successful execution.
  • Leverage and optimize technology solutions and information systems to streamline workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve system utilization across the team.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve QA/QC frameworks to ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and government policies.
  • Monitor adherence and provide guidance to address gaps and strengthen controls.
  • Act as a liaison across cross-functional teams, including IT, Project Controls, and Supply Chain, to support departmental and enterprise initiatives.
  • Facilitate alignment, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication and coordination across stakeholders.
  • Support departmental planning and execution of strategic priorities, including managing ISLMS requirements, tracking goals and objectives, and ensuring action items are completed.
  • Prepare clear, concise presentations and materials for senior leadership, and capture and drive follow-through on key decisions and commitments.
