About The Position

Niantic Spatial is building foundational models for physical AI to enable safe and efficient collaboration between people and machines. They provide robots, AI agents, and people with an accurate, shared understanding of physical spaces, enhancing safety and efficiency in demanding environments. Their technology captures environments with high geometric accuracy and detail from standard cameras, and their Visual Positioning System offers precise global positioning. They are addressing the 80% of economic activity that occurs beyond screens, serving customers in robotics, the public sector, and energy and industrial markets.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience across both technical and non-technical roles.
  • A track record in high-growth startups, technology companies, or venture-backed organizations.
  • Proven success hiring software engineers, machine learning engineers, AI researchers, product managers, and business professionals.
  • Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and other talent tools.
  • Experience managing many concurrent requisitions without compromising candidate experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consultative communication.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems — Ashby preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and influence hiring decisions with data and market insight.

Nice To Haves

  • Recruiting experience in AI, machine learning, geospatial, robotics, spatial computing, mapping, or related emerging-tech sectors.
  • Experience building recruiting processes from the ground up in startup environments.
  • Experience hiring globally or supporting distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles, from intake through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers and leaders to define hiring strategies, candidate profiles, and interview processes.
  • Build and execute sourcing strategies — direct outreach, referrals, networking, and recruiting platforms — to reach high-caliber candidates.
  • Develop strong pipelines across software engineering, machine learning, AI research, product, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and people functions.
  • Run recruiter screens that assess candidates’ qualifications, motivations, and alignment with our culture and values.
  • Drive an efficient interview process and a positive candidate experience end to end.
  • Advise hiring managers on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and hiring best practices.
  • Manage offers and negotiations through to close, and keep candidate records and recruiting metrics current in our ATS.
  • Champion fair, inclusive hiring practices and identify ways to improve recruiting operations, workflows, and employer brand.
