Requirements

4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience within the last 5 years, with proven success in meeting hiring goals.
Experience supporting recruiting for a variety of roles and demonstrated ability to support senior leadership business partners
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
Excellent communication skills, including messaging, phone, email, and in-person interactions
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems and experience managing candidates through structured workflows.
Expertise in sourcing and engaging passive candidates through multiple channels.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity in all interactions.
Some Sr. Recruiter roles may require flexibility to work across different time zones

Responsibilities

Design and implement strategic recruiting plans including proactive sourcing methods to reach talent that is not actively job searching, including networking sites, job boards, specialty search software, and direct outreach.
Independently manage the hiring strategy, application, and hiring process form posting of requisitions, posting strategy, conducting interviews, to delivering offer recommendations
Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers (from manager to executive level business partners), ensuring clear communication and a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
Support Manager and Executive level hiring managers in the hiring strategy for their open hiring needs while building a deep functional expertise of the main business areas supported
Guide hiring managers through structured interview and selection practices to maintain consistency and fairness.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs, engaging passive candidates effectively.
Participate in recruiting events such as job fairs, college outreach, and community engagement initiatives to strengthen CarMax’s employer brand (as needed)
Collaborate with leadership to resolve challenges and recommend actionable solutions that improve recruiting efficiency and outcomes.
