About The Position
HCSC is seeking an experienced Senior React Native Developer to join its engineering team. The role builds and maintains high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android, working closely with backend, design, and product teams. It also provides technical leadership and mentorship to other developers, encouraging best practices and professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Information Technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses and 6 years of Information Technology experience, or 8 years of Information Technology experience.
- Ability to sit and perform computer entry for an entire work shift, as required.
- Ability to manage workload, multiple priorities, and conflicts with customers, employees, or managers, as applicable.
- Experience in application or product feature design.
- Experience with integration technologies such as Tibco, Informatica, or CAS.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Experience with cloud computing technologies (SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS).
- Experience in application configuration.
- Experience with rapid prototyping.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, or iterative development.
- Experience with system performance management.
- Experience with systems change or configuration management.
- Experience with business requirements management.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Creative thinking skills.
- Ability to execute.
- Availability to travel up to 20%.
Nice To Haves
- Three or more years of hands-on React Native development experience.
- Experience building UI with Tamagui for performant cross-platform styling and theming.
- Professional experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Familiarity with spec-driven or specification-first development practices.
- Experience with authentication and identity solutions such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or ForgeRock.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Jest or Detox.
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools.
- Familiarity with backend services built in Spring Boot, Kotlin, or Java.
- Experience with app security and secure storage best practices.
