About The Position

AIAIAI is seeking a Full-Stack Developer with a mobile and frontend focus to join their team in Amsterdam. This role involves owning the company's mobile app and contributing to the web platform. The developer will be responsible for taking features from concept to app store release, including making necessary backend changes. The company emphasizes using AI tools to enhance productivity, with engineers owning features end-to-end. The ideal candidate is a 'conductor' who can ship features rapidly, leveraging AI while maintaining code quality and user experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years shipping production TypeScript and React.
• At least one React Native app shipped to both app stores, ideally with Expo.
• Strong with server state (TanStack Query), offline caching, and typed API clients.
• Comfortable with Tailwind-style styling.
• Able to work in SvelteKit within weeks, coming from any modern web framework.
• Can make small backend changes in Python or Go, and knows Postgres.
• Builds for real conditions: cheap Android phones, slow networks, proper loading and error states.
• Experience running several AI agents in parallel and reviewing their output.
• Ability to break features into well-scoped briefs for AI agents.
• Skill in catching AI mistakes: made-up APIs, quiet regressions, incorrect code.
• Experience making AI agents prove their work with tests.
• Experience building AI features for end users (streaming, voice, tool calling).
• Ability to work with design and product to sharpen vague tickets and spot improvements.
• Willingness to ship small and often, and throw away own code without ego.
• Ability to finish the boring last 10%.
• Ability to explain work clearly to non-engineers.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in computer science or a related field (can compensate for fewer years of experience).
• Real-time features: voice, WebRTC/LiveKit, or streaming responses.
• Experience with the messy parts of mobile: EAS builds, over-the-air updates, push notifications, deep links, store reviews.
• Translations (Lingui or similar).
• Shared design systems.
• Debugging from Sentry data.
• Experience building own AI setup: custom instructions, project memory, MCP tools, or reusable skills.
• Knowledge of which AI model to use for which job, and when to write code by hand.

Responsibilities
