About The Position

Deftpower is hiring a React Native Developer to build and improve the app used by electric-vehicle drivers, from initial ideas through releases to the app stores. The app supports the charging journey, including finding chargers, starting and stopping charging sessions, viewing live session status and costs, making payments, and configuring smart-charging preferences. The developer joins the App team and works in cross-team squads formed for each Shape Up cycle, called Heartbeat. Squads collaborate on shaped projects with a fixed appetite and deliver features end to end. The role works closely with Product and Design, backend developers, the Product Owner, and the App Team Lead. Responsibilities also include integrating with backend APIs, maintaining app quality and stability, supporting releases on iOS and Android in a multi-tenant environment, collaborating with native specialists on platform-specific features, reviewing code, and sharing knowledge. The app is built with React Native and includes native modules written in Swift and Kotlin. The broader technology environment includes a C#/.NET backend, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, a microservice architecture, and an Angular web portal. Deftpower describes itself as a fast-growing SaaS company working on electric-vehicle charging and energy-grid software, with customers and partners across more than ten countries. The role is full-time and based in Arnhem, with hybrid working and office attendance a few times per week. The stated salary range is €4,500–€6,200 per month. The company also offers a €2,000 annual training budget, a choice of laptop up to €1,750, holiday allowance, 25 vacation days, and a pension. The job posting additionally describes a flexible, high-trust working environment with short decision lines and opportunities to take initiative and shape the role.
