Senior R&D Engineer

Medtronic•Mounds View, MN
•$105,600 - $158,400•Onsite

About The Position

The Senior R&D Engineer will support development and expansion of transcatheter heart valve replacement technologies within Medtronic’s Structural Heart portfolio in the Interventional Cardiology Therapies Operating Unit. The role uses clinical and preclinical imaging analysis, computational and anatomical modeling, and research to advance Structural Heart therapies. The engineer will work with engineering, clinical, and scientific teams to analyze cardiovascular imaging data, develop predictive models, evaluate device-anatomy interactions, and generate evidence supporting product development, preclinical studies, and future therapy advancement. The Structural Heart group develops transcatheter technologies for valvular heart disease and aortic conditions, including therapies addressing aortic, pulmonary, mitral, and tricuspid valve disease. The role is based at the Mounds View, Minnesota facility and requires at least four days per week on-site. Travel of up to 10% may be required for business objectives, in-person meetings, and project activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a technical discipline and 4 or more years of experience, or an advanced degree and 2 or more years of experience.
  • For a baccalaureate degree earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
