About The Position

The Senior Quality Analyst role involves designing, developing, and executing test plans and strategies using various testing techniques. This includes writing and executing test cases, troubleshooting defects, and determining integrated testing solutions that account for cross-organizational dependencies. The position requires a deep understanding of the entire customer experience, including sales, ordering, provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service, particularly for End-to-End (E2E) testing. This also involves extensive knowledge of the Network for integrated IT/Network tests to ensure services function correctly, are billed accurately, and issues can be resolved. The role includes overseeing quality assurance processes, defining optimal solutions for issues, and implementing in-house quality procedures. A key aspect is developing automation strategies to improve test execution, manual test coverage, and regression testing consistency. Collaboration with Program Managers, Dev leads, and Architects is essential for identifying test scenarios for large programs. The analyst will also develop data and environment strategies using architectural skills to meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Responsibilities include reporting defects, analyzing test results, reporting test metrics, and preparing test reports. Proactive and regular communication of progress through various channels (governance calls, stand-up calls, formal jeopardies, escalations, daily/weekly progress reports, defect metrics collections) is expected. The role also involves coordinating with teams across the Software Development Life Cycle and facilitating certification for production deployment.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 5 Years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 Years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation in the software quality field including prior hands-on quality engineering experience.
  • Understanding of multitier web application architecture and micro-service technologies.
  • Working knowledge of database, ability to write basic SQL/NoSQL queries.
  • Experience in writing automation scripts using Java, TestNG, Selenium.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills, including requirements analysis and basic application architecture knowledge.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Performance and Volume, User Acceptance).
  • Technical Skills: Java, Java Script, REST API, REST Assured, Spoc, Jira, Jira Align, Jenkins, Oracle, NoSQL, Maven, GitHub, SoapUI, Postman, Datastax Devcenter, Postgres, Offset Explorer, Apache JMeter, Rainmaker.

Responsibilities

  • Using testing techniques, design, develop, analyze test plans and strategies, write and execute test cases, and troubleshoot defects for applications.
  • Determine integrated testing solutions that include cross dependencies between organizations and programs.
  • Develop data and environment strategies utilizing architectural skills and methodology to meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability and security needs.
  • Responsibilities may include E2E testing which encompasses the entire customer experience including sales, ordering, provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service.
  • E2E testing also requires extensive knowledge of the Network for integrated IT / Network tests to ensure services function, are properly billed, and issues can be resolved/managed.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes for all products, working closely with staff to define the optimal solution for each issue that may arise and implement in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Develops automation strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage and the consistency of regression testing.
  • Collaborates with Program Managers, Dev leads, Architects to identifying test scenarios for large programs.
  • Report defects and follow up on their closure.
  • Analyze test results, report test metrics, prepare and present test reports.
  • Communicate progress proactively and regularly using various tools and strategies (governance calls, stand-up calls, formal jeopardies, escalations, daily/weekly progress reports, defect metrics collections).
  • Coordinate with teams involving all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and facilitate certification for production deployment.
