About The Position

SOTI is seeking a technically strong and proactive Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of their products across Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on testing experience, solid analytical and debugging skills, and expertise in identifying coverage gaps, designing comprehensive test cases, and troubleshooting production issues through effective root cause analysis. A good understanding of client-server architecture, SQL, Agile/Scrum practices, and cross-functional collaboration is essential. The role also requires someone who can work independently, mentor junior team members, proactively take ownership of additional responsibilities, maintain high-quality standards, provide constructive feedback, and continuously contribute toward improving overall product quality and QA processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any STEM-related programs
• 5-8 years of software industry experience with excellent QA proficiency in complex web-based and mobile applications
• Excellent analytical skills to come up with test scenarios for all possible edge cases
• Exposure to API testing, troubleshooting and debugging
• Sound knowledge of standard QA practices, different testing types and cycles, and review guidelines
• Good knowledge of BDD and Spec Flow
• Good understanding of Microsoft Test Manager, Team foundation server, visual studio and Jira
• Good understanding or strong interest in performance or security testing
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of languages like C#, Java Script, VB Script, etc. a plus
• Tech-savviness with the ability to learn and implement new technologies

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ADO, Jira, and modern automation practices such as Playwright is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in various test cycles
• Work closely with product managers, designers, development team, and QA teams for the seamless test execution and delivery of the product
• Help the scrum team to improve the quality by proactively providing constructive feedback
• Have a solid hold on the product, QA process and the Agile methodologies
• Mentor junior resources in the team and provide technical guidance
• Independently drive effort estimation for QA activities
• Adept at working in a fast-paced environment with no guidance
• Review test cases/feature files to identify missed scenarios and ensure maximum test coverage
• Actively work on debugging production issues, find the root cause, and provide possible solutions
