About The Position

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will develop and implement quality assurance standards and measures within the organization. This role involves writing test plans, creating and executing functional and automated tests, tracking defects and fixes, and reporting progress. The analyst will promote and implement quality assurance best practices, create and maintain efficient automated scripts using clean code and best practice coding standards, and mentor team members on these practices. They will also work with Software Quality Engineers to maintain an automated test framework and take a lead role in QA efforts, including test planning, case writing, functional and exploratory testing, status communication, and meeting coordination. The role also includes managing customer requests for manual and automated testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and managing automated script execution and development. Additionally, the Senior QA Analyst will develop and maintain automated functional tests for code releases, support PSG implementations and testing, and oversee QA Associates and Professional Apprentices. Research into new technologies will also be a part of the role. The position is office-based in Cleveland, OH, with flexibility for up to 12 remote work days per year within a reasonable commuting distance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study.
Five (5) years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Engineer or related role.
Five (5) years of Information Technology experience.
Five (5) years of work experience in the area of Software Quality Assurance.
Four (4) years in automation tools and technologies using Java, Selenium Webdriver, TestNg or equivalent testing tools.
Three (3) years working with test management tools with HP ALM, or JIRA.
Testing software manually; including but not limited to experience-based, context, exploratory, and scenario testing.
Applying testing skills: test plan and test case formulation, report creation, defect tracking, business requirement/system specification analysis.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience using various testing methodologies such as unit testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and user acceptance testing.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Must be eighteen years or older.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality assurance standards and measures.
Write test plans, create and execute functional and automated tests.
Track defects and fixes and report progress.
Promote, foster and proactively implement the use of quality assurance best practices and standards.
Create and maintain efficient automated scripts that utilize clean code and best practice coding standards.
Mentor and train Developers, QA Associates and other team members on best practices and industry standards.
Work with and support the Software Quality Engineers to implement and maintain an automated test framework.
Take on a lead role for the QA effort which includes: creating test plans, writing test cases, performing functional and exploratory testing, effectively communicating statuses, and coordinating meetings.
Manage the requests of customers for the creation of manual and automated testing.
Work with cross functional team members to define and understand functional & non-functional requirements and capture business requirements through behavior driven test scripts.
Manage and maintain efficiencies in the automated script execution and script development through the implementation of automation best practices.
Develop and maintain the suite of automated functional tests supporting code releases.
Support the PSG implementations and testing activities with the automation and execution of key business processes.
Oversee and delegate work to QA Associates and Professional Apprentices, as needed.
Conduct research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks.
