About The Position

Sparteo is hiring a Senior Publisher Partnerships Manager to build its publisher business on the US East Coast. The role focuses on winning independent premium and mid-market (Tier 2) publishers that are underserved by larger platforms, using established relationships and new-business sales skills to secure exclusive monetization partnerships. The position is an early senior sales leadership role in Sparteo’s US expansion and will contribute to decisions about target segments, competitive positioning, go-to-market strategy, and the growth of the North American supply team. The role involves identifying and qualifying prospective publishers, developing and forecasting a pipeline, and selling to executives such as founders, CEOs, CROs, and Heads of Revenue. The manager will explain technical advertising concepts in terms of business value, negotiate long-term exclusive agreements with Legal, and coordinate partner onboarding with Account Management and Ad Operations. They will also provide market intelligence to leadership and Product, help shape the US sales playbook, and share best practices with the West Coast team. The position is based in the New York area, with flexibility to work from home and on the road and readiness to travel to meet publishers. Sparteo offers health insurance, a pension plan, and life insurance. The role is part of an international team working across Europe and North America; Claude is available to employees under the company’s AI usage policy.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in ad tech or digital media sales on the publisher side, with a record of closing and growing publisher partnerships in the US.
  • Established network among US Tier 2 publishers, including independent premium, mid-market, vertical, and niche media, with relationships among decision-makers.
  • Experience selling exclusive or managed-service monetization solutions beyond non-exclusive SSP integrations.
  • Executive presence and negotiation skills, including credibility with publisher owners and C-level executives and ability to structure and close long-term partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to hunt for new accounts, handle objections, and close complex deals independently.
  • Based in the New York area and ready to travel to meet publishers.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of US CTV and in-app monetization trends.

  • Build, maintain, and forecast a robust sales pipeline against ambitious revenue targets.
  • Sell Sparteo’s monetization services to publisher decision-makers and position the company as a strategic partner.
  • Explain header bidding, consent, Core Web Vitals, and yield in terms of publisher business outcomes and potential revenue uplift.
  • Negotiate long-term exclusive partnership agreements, focusing on value and revenue growth, and work with Legal on contractual terms.

  • Share structured insights about US publisher needs, objections, market conditions, privacy laws, GPP, managed-service networks, CTV, and video adoption with leadership and Product teams.
  • Track competitors serving US Tier 2 publishers and develop arguments to displace them.
  • Help define Sparteo’s US go-to-market approach, share best practices with the West Coast team, and contribute to structuring the growing North American supply business.
