About The Position

Formlabs is hiring a Senior PR Manager to shape how the press, analysts, and the wider maker community see the company and its products. The role owns earned media for product launches, company news, and executive visibility, working closely with product marketing, brand, social, and leadership. It also develops proactive PR strategy, builds media and analyst relationships, supports product reviews, manages issues and crisis communications, and measures PR impact.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in PR or communications.
• At least 3 years leading programs at a technology, hardware, or consumer electronics company or agency.
• A track record of securing top-tier coverage in national business, technology, and trade media.
• Strong existing relationships with technology and business journalists.
• Experience running major product launches involving embargoes, review units, and global timing.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong sense of what makes a story.
• Ability to explain technical products in plain language.
• Curiosity about 3D printing and manufacturing.
• Ability to measure PR results and connect them to business goals.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with 3D printing and manufacturing.
• Experience running influencer and creator programs, especially with YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram creators in maker, design, engineering, or technology.
• Relationships with creators and understanding of sponsored content, gifting, and long-term ambassador partnerships.
• Familiarity with media monitoring and influencer tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PR efforts for product launches, including messaging, press materials, embargoes, briefings, reviews, and launch-day coverage.
• Build and run an always-on, proactive PR strategy tied to company goals.
• Grow relationships with business, technology, design, manufacturing, and trade press, as well as key industry analysts.
• Collaborate on the product reviews program, including getting printers and materials to reviewers and tracking coverage.
• Raise the profile of Formlabs executives through interviews, bylines, podcasts, and speaking opportunities.
• Write and edit press releases, briefing documents, FAQs, and Q&A preparation materials.
• Own issues and crisis communications.
• Report on share of voice, coverage quality, message pull-through, and impact on traffic and pipeline.
