About The Position

AECOM Hunt is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead a major, high-profile sports and entertainment construction project in Tampa, Florida. The role oversees project execution from preconstruction through final delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, construction operations, commissioning, closeout, and turnover. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale, complex commercial construction projects; experience with stadiums, arenas, entertainment venues, and other large public assembly facilities is strongly preferred. The Senior Project Manager provides project leadership, coordinates multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, manages project controls and administration, and ensures compliance with specifications, codes, permits, and regulatory standards. The position also promotes quality and jobsite safety, reports project performance to executives, and mentors project management personnel. This role is onsite in Tampa; it is not hybrid or remote. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Demonstrated success managing large-scale commercial construction projects.

Nice To Haves

Experience with professional sports stadiums, arenas, entertainment venues, convention centers, or major public assembly facilities.
Proven ability to manage substantial construction budgets, complex schedules, and large subcontractor teams.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, contract administration, and project controls.
Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management platforms.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage high-profile projects with demanding schedules and multiple stakeholders.
Experience with professional sports stadium construction and renovations, major league sports and entertainment facilities, multi-purpose sports arenas and indoor event venues, complex structural steel, concrete, MEP and specialty systems construction, or projects involving premium seating, suites, concessions, club spaces, and fan experience amenities.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and direction for all construction phases, from preconstruction through completion and turnover.
Manage project budgets, cost controls, financial forecasting, cash flow, and schedule performance.
Lead and coordinate project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, buyout, and vendor management.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and achieve critical milestones and completion dates.
Manage complex construction sequencing, site logistics, and coordination of multiple trades.
Lead owner, architect, and contractor meetings and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract administration, and project documentation.
Identify and mitigate construction risks, schedule impacts, and budget concerns.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, permitting requirements, and regulatory standards.
Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance, quality control, and jobsite safety.
Provide executive-level reporting on project financials, progress, risks, and overall performance.
Oversee commissioning, punch-list completion, closeout, and final turnover.
Mentor and develop project management personnel and promote accountability and collaboration across the project team.
