About The Position

MSS Solutions, LLC is hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager for mechanical projects. The role determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet customers’ facilities requirements and manages construction efforts to ensure work is completed within budget and in accordance with project requirements. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership to project teams, mentors other project managers, coordinates engineering and project schedules, and supports customer goals while following industry best practices. The position also supports project development and delivery through MEP assessments, engineering reports, scopes of work, project specifications, equipment pricing, purchasing, invoice approval, documentation, closeout, and warranty coverage. The role requires maintaining project files and overseeing safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and performance throughout each project.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or a two-year college, military training, or technical school education, with at least 5 years of experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
Experience leading, motivating, and managing project and program teams of varying sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding the team accountable for performance.
Ability to demonstrate drive for results and accountability for business needs.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test; pre-employment drug testing is required.
Must have a clean, acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Must communicate clearly in person and by telephone, with adequate hearing to respond appropriately.
Must have vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data and be able to perform repetitive motions using computer equipment.
Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and constant lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet customer facilities requirements.
Supervise and mentor other project managers or assistant project managers.
Review contracts and understand the company’s contractual rights, remedies, and responsibilities.
Lead project teams, resolve issues, and address problems throughout the project.
Oversee project requirements for safety, quality, and productivity.
Provide on-site leadership, motivate team members, and ensure they meet project goals, responsibilities, and milestones.
Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to subordinate project managers, contractors, and laborers.
Monitor, track, and control project outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical-path deliverables.
Assist with interviewing and selecting new project managers.
Manage construction efforts to ensure projects are built in accordance with budget.
Align solutions with client goals and industry best practices.
Develop subject matter expertise in a vertical market and apply it across sales and operations.
Assist in preparing MEP assessments and prepare detailed engineering reports.
Coordinate project-specific engineering.
Develop scopes of work and project specifications.
Coordinate project schedules between property stakeholders and contractors.
Approve invoices and prepare and issue purchase orders.
Provide complete closeout documentation and warranty coverage.
Specify and price purchased equipment, ensuring accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, and options.
Maintain files for each job on the company network and cloud-based site.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company.
