Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience in woodworking or construction (retail or residential) industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (MRP/ERP systems).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret bid documents, specifications, spreadsheets, shop drawings, and blueprints.
  • Solid technical expertise in store fixtures or architectural millwork.
  • Analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead effectively and motivate others.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with or for general contractors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full project lifecycle, from planning to completion.
  • Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to guarantee project success.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to streamline processes and achieve organizational goals.
  • Conduct systematic quality checks and site visits to ensure product excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market share within current and prospective client bases.
  • Manage multiple priorities with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Uphold Goebel's Core Values and adhere to all safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with department managers, providing project forecasting updates.
  • Review and understand contract documents and project specifications thoroughly.
  • Manage drawing submittations and approvals, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Create and oversee project schedules, detailing milestones and durations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Team to source materials and meet project timelines.
  • Handle project invoicing and address overdue accounts as necessary.
  • Coordinate handoff meetings between Estimating, Engineering, and Production teams.
  • Support installation activities and follow up on punch walks to ensure project closeout.
  • Evaluate project costs and address discrepancies for resolution.
  • Facilitate project quotations, sales orders, change orders, and engineering work orders within MRP/ERP systems.
  • Manage finish samples to meet client expectations for material selections.
  • Provide documentation and oversight for rework and change orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
