The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall contract execution, including assisting/leading in generating and managing program schedules, managing project budgets, and setting resource priorities. This role involves attending project kick-off meetings, preparing project teams, issuing and updating project schedules for customers and teams, and conducting regular project meetings with both the team and the customer. The position requires monitoring and reporting cost to complete, coordinating technical problem-solving, and managing machine acceptance, sign-off, and customer milestone invoicing. The Senior Project Manager will also work with accounting to collect/negotiate past due accounts, handle Project Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and complete closed order analysis for lessons learned. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the preparation of technical proposals, identifying new technologies, executing projects per standard procedures, and potentially managing the generation of standard solutions. Recommendations regarding contractual issues to RSMs, maintaining safety and quality standards, and generating administrative tools for control are also key responsibilities. The role includes implementing lessons learned, continuous improvement programs, cross-training manufacturing teams, and potentially coordinating research and development. Adherence to corporate and department ISO policies is required. The Senior Project Manager will guide project teams in designing and developing robotic systems, conduct or assist in project validation/verification tests, and facilitate design reviews. Analysis of test data to ensure designs meet specifications and assisting in the preparation of technical proposals are also part of the role. Some travel is required, necessitating a valid driver's license and full coverage automobile insurance.
