This role is responsible for the overall contract execution, assisting/leading in the generation and management of program schedules, managing project budgets, and helping set resource priorities. The Senior Project Manager will attend project kick-off meetings, prepare the project team to ensure objectives are accomplished, and issue schedules for all projects, providing timely updates to customers and the project team. Regular project meetings with both the project team and the customer will be conducted, with information recorded and distributed. The position involves monitoring and reporting the cost to complete, coordinating and assisting in solving technical problems, and managing machine acceptance, sign-off, and customer milestone invoicing. Collaboration with accounting for past due accounts, and the generation, handling, and tracking of Project Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) are key responsibilities. Post-project, a closed order analysis will be completed for lessons learned. The role also includes assisting in the preparation of technical proposals, identifying new technologies, and executing projects according to standard procedures. Special projects may be assigned, and the role may involve managing the generation of standard solutions and making recommendations on contractual issues. Maintaining high safety and quality standards, generating administrative tools for control, implementing continuous improvement programs, and potentially coordinating research and development are also part of the duties. Guiding the project team in designing and developing robotic systems, conducting or assisting in tests, and facilitating design reviews are crucial. The Senior Project Manager will assist in analyzing test data to ensure designs meet specifications and may conduct or help design tests.
