Senior Project Manager
About The Position
VML is adding a Senior Project Manager to our team, supporting one of VML's largest clients in the CPG space. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who can quickly understand our client’s needs and objectives with the ability to effectively manage variety sized teams in their effort to deliver projects and services across largescale integrated campaigns. You will be expected to deploy and manage against defined processes throughout a client engagement. You will build, coach, and lead cross-functional teams across process to ensure successful delivery of work. We are looking for a proactive problem solver that can manage team dynamics, manage project financial performance, clearly communicate status, and drive progression towards dates.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years managing projects, within an agency environment preferred.
- CPG project experience a plus
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and mentoring team members
- Strong understanding of integrated campaigns and corresponding best practices
- Experience in project scoping, timeline estimation, and resource management
- Superior client relationship management and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Deep passion for social media marketing and advertising industry
Responsibilities
- Act as a client proxy for agile teams.
- Manage multiple activities and projects under one or more clients.
- Support and provide strategic direction related to processes and resolution paths.
- Support agile teams to refine user stories and acceptance criteria to meet the agile team’s definition of ready.
- Provide well researched POV documents on a variety of solutions related to project work.
- Analyze processes continuously for refinement; execute measures for optimization.
- Continuously monitor project health via resourcing, profitability and burn rates.
- Work with clients to define KPI’s and meaningful metrics to report project health.
- Works closely with Client Engagement and Delivery teams to architect solutions that best meet client requirements.
- Support creation of RFP responses with other teams and new business engagement.
- Help create and draft contracts and scopes of work.
- Manage internal teams and client relationships in alignment with Client Engagement team.
- Maintain direct relationships with greater delivery team.
- Support scoping and estimation exercises with Client Engagement teams
