About The Position

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Implementations, to lead complex, customer-facing implementation and migration projects across legacy and next-generation flight-planning products. The role includes the JetPlan Engine migration program, which moves customers from unsupported legacy hardware and operating systems to current, supported infrastructure. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Services Implementation & Deployment. The Senior Project Manager owns end-to-end planning, scheduling, and delivery of multi-workstream projects, coordinating internal Development, Deployment Specialists, Quality Assurance, and Support teams with customer technical teams. The role manages schedule, risk, and dependencies; coordinates production cutovers; communicates project status to technical and executive stakeholders; and supports stabilization and handoff after go-live. Occasional travel to customer sites may be needed.

Requirements

At least 5 years of project management experience delivering complex technical implementation or migration projects, ideally including production system cutovers.
Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects involving internal engineering or deployment teams and external customer technical teams.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand infrastructure migration concepts well enough to plan and sequence work; a software engineering background is not required.
Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM/project-tracking tool.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting project status to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Strong critical-thinking and risk-management skills, including identifying and mitigating schedule and technical risks.
Willingness to learn and apply AI-powered tools to accelerate project tracking, status reporting, and cross-team coordination.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize independently.

Nice To Haves

Prior hands-on experience with AI tools.
PMP or comparable project management certification.
Experience in airline operations, flight dispatch, or aviation technology.
Experience coordinating international, multi-time-zone customer implementations.
Background in client or account management, with the ability to translate customer needs into a project plan.
Comfort working across time zones with international customers.

Responsibilities

Own project planning, scheduling, and status reporting for complex implementation and migration projects from kickoff through go-live and early production support handoff.
Build and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, and cutover/go-live runbooks for each migration.
Coordinate Development, Deployment Specialists, Quality Assurance, and Support to sequence and de-risk cutover activities for production systems with limited tolerance for downtime.
Track project status in Salesforce and keep stakeholders and leadership informed about schedules, risks, and blockers.
Lead recurring customer- and internal-facing status meetings, translating technical migration details into actionable updates for technical and executive stakeholders.
Coordinate go-live and cutover events with customer technical teams, including scheduling maintenance windows and validating post-cutover system health.
Identify and escalate schedule, resource, or technical risks early, and drive mitigation plans to closure.
Support post-go-live stabilization and handoff to ongoing support.
Partner with Product, Support, and other internal teams to resolve migration issues and escalations.
Travel to customer sites as needed.
