About The Position

TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to provide project management support for Digital Solutions Integration for EPC delivery in support of the Natrium team. The role manages the integrated delivery of the plant 3D model, Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, and centralized data environment, and coordinates integration with EDMS/CMIS and new suppliers. It is the primary project-management and interface-coordination point across engineering, IT, and external partners, establishing schedules, tracking deliverables, resolving dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery in compliance with nuclear quality and configuration-management requirements. Hands-on tool work may be possible but is not the primary focus. The role assumes day-to-day project management and interface coordination currently handled part-time by technical leads, allowing those leads to focus on technical execution. The position is based in Bellevue, Washington, and involves a standard and/or sitting work environment for more than eight hours per day. Travel is 0–10%. The position is subject to qualification requirements in accordance with ANSI/ANS 3.1, including applicable education, experience, and nuclear-industry experience criteria. Verification of data is part of the hiring process. The role may also be subject to U.S. Government export-control review requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading or managing multi-party technical projects.
  • Experience managing or supporting delivery of 3D plant design models and associated engineering data.
  • Experience managing or supporting implementation of a centralized or common data environment across multiple systems and organizations.
  • Experience coordinating technical interfaces with external partners and suppliers, including defining deliverables and tracking performance.
  • Experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Working knowledge of CAE tools and their integration with plant design, PLM, BIM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Strong project management skills, including scheduling, risk management, and status reporting.
  • Understanding of data exchange concepts such as APIs, data mapping, and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance standards or other applicable standards, such as ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR Part 50, or ISO 19443.
  • Strong ownership and follow-through, with the ability to drive progress across teams without direct authority.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams and external organizations.
  • Must meet the applicable ANSI/ANS 3.1 qualification requirements, including relevant nuclear-industry experience where required.
  • Ability to perform the listed job functions, with or without accommodation, including extended sitting, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control, and safely lifting up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an EPC (Engineering/Procurement/Construction) or AE (Architect/Engineer) environment.
  • Experience with Intergraph Smart 3D or similar applications such as AVEVA E3D or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Hands-on experience with CAE tools.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Past Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry or another highly regulated sector, such as aerospace, pharmaceutical, or defense.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools, procurement software, or digital twin platforms.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for data systems in critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track end-to-end integrated delivery of the 3D plant model, CAE tools, and centralized data environment, aligning scope, schedule, and dependencies across workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated digital delivery plan, including milestones, deliverables, resource needs, risks, and issues.
  • Provide regular status reporting and escalate risks and decisions to engineering and project leadership.
  • Coordinate delivery of the 3D plant model across engineering disciplines, ensuring model content, release milestones, and data requirements are met.
  • Work with technical leads and system administrators to schedule and track software upgrades, configuration changes, and environment readiness.
  • Plan, coordinate, and track implementation and rollout of the centralized BIM data environment, including data structure, ownership, access, and exchange requirements.
  • Facilitate definition and tracking of data governance, naming, and metadata standards with engineering, document control, and configuration management.
  • Coordinate data migration, validation, and ongoing synchronization between source systems and the centralized environment.
  • Facilitate recurring coordination meetings, drive actions to closure, and ensure clear communication of priorities and dependencies.
  • Manage scope changes, budget inputs, and purchase or contract support related to digital solutions and supplier tools.
  • Partner with the team responsible for CAE tools and the centralized data environment to translate priorities into schedules, remove blockers, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Ensure digital deliverables and processes comply with nuclear quality assurance requirements, including ASME NQA-1.
  • Ensure system configurations, data releases, and changes are documented in alignment with CMIS processes.
