About The Position

Bohler’s Westborough, MA office is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Construction Administration who thrives on solving complex construction challenges, strengthening project delivery, and ensuring that thoughtful designs are successfully carried into the field. In this role, you will help manage the construction administration process from pre-construction through project closeout. You will serve as a primary point of contact for contractors and select clients, provide construction insight throughout the design process, and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to address project risks, submissions, and field conditions. You will also contribute to proposals, budgets, change orders, project financials, and process improvements. As an experienced member of the team, you will mentor less experienced employees and help expand construction administration knowledge across Bohler’s design and Construction Administration teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 4 or more years of construction management or land development experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
  • Initiative in managing responsibilities and coordinating with members of the design team
  • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with contractors, consultants, clients, and internal project teams
  • Commitment to improving processes, increasing efficiency, and developing better project solutions

Responsibilities

  • Manage more complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Oversee the construction administration process from pre-construction through project closeout
  • Evaluate sites and projects to identify potential risks, challenges, and unknown conditions
  • Review shop drawings and submittals
  • Perform site visits and construction observations
  • Provide phasing and constructability analysis and support
  • Help resolve construction-related issues and submissions in collaboration with design teams and internal partners
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors and select clients
  • Conduct and participate in client meetings and provide project updates
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, budgets, and change orders
  • Coordinate with construction managers, contractors, clients, and Bohler design teams
  • Provide construction-related support, expertise, and guidance to internal project teams
  • Provide guidance on project management practices
  • Deliver training that expands construction-related knowledge across design and Construction Administration teams
