About The Position

The Senior Project Coordinator supports the advancement of Shared Care Committee work plan priorities as delegated by the Senior Manager, Shared Care & Strategic Initiatives. This role involves providing project management and coordination support for assigned portfolios, including developing and maintaining project management systems, tracking key milestones, activities, and progress, and monitoring budget trackers. The Senior Project Coordinator will also be responsible for developing communication materials such as portfolio documents, briefing notes, presentations, and agenda packages, contributing to monthly and quarterly reports, and supporting activities like steering committees, working groups, partner engagement, and strategic planning processes. The initial focus will be on Cancer and Mental Health Substance Use portfolios. For Cancer, responsibilities include coordinating the planning and execution of the remaining two Cancer Call for Proposals Learning Series and the 2027 Project Showcase, coordinating and implementing communication activities like drafting articles for BC Cancer Medical Dental Staff Association newsletters, and collaborating with the Senior Manager and Liaison to develop and implement deliverables. For Mental Health Substance Use, the role involves coordinating the planning, tracking, and reporting of engagement activities, and collaborating with the Senior Manager and Liaison to develop and implement deliverables.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of progressive and related experience or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education
  • Experience in project management and adept at balancing significant concurrent priorities, with a high attention to detail, risk management, and effective time management
  • Budget development and management skills
  • Ability to work synergistically in a collaborative team environment and coordinate tasks and priorities with other team members
  • Ability to apply logical and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts and determine optimal solutions
  • Excellent diplomacy, communication and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with highly trained professionals and diverse partners
  • Demonstrated experience working in dynamic, challenging, and ambiguous environments
  • Excellent research and writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and as a member of the team
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience working in the BC health care system or general knowledge of the BC health care system is preferred
