About The Position

As Senior Program Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role within a high-performing team responsible for delivering complex programs that drive strategic business outcomes. You will lead the successful planning, governance, and execution of client implementations, new market entries, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives. You will be accountable for overseeing the full program lifecycle—from initiation through implementation and operational transition—while proactively managing risks, dependencies, resources, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. As a trusted advisor to both clients and executive leadership, you will provide strategic direction, influence decision-making, and ensure programs deliver measurable business value while upholding the company's commitment to service excellence, quality, and customer success. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and collaborative leader with exceptional communication and relationship management skills. You will confidently engage with executive stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Product Management, Delivery, Support, Account Management, and Operations—to align priorities, resolve complex challenges, and drive successful outcomes. Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of progressive Program and Project Management experience leading large-scale, enterprise-level client implementations.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex, cross-functional programs with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven experience building trusted executive-level client relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading SaaS and enterprise software implementations, including third-party integrations and operational transition.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting proposals, business development, and change management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business and technical challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience establishing PMO governance, reporting, and delivery best practices.
  • Experience mentoring project or program managers and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the energy industry—including deregulated markets, utilities, retail energy is highly desirable.
  • PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile, or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs from post-sale through implementation, operational transition, and ongoing client success.
  • Establish program governance by facilitating executive kick-off meetings, aligning stakeholders on scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Own the end-to-end program lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of multiple concurrent initiatives on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, integrating client deliverables, third-party vendors, and internal cross-functional workstreams.
  • Define program scope, workstreams, milestones, resource requirements, and critical paths while ensuring alignment with business strategy and client objectives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Delivery, Operations, Support, Sales, and Account Management to coordinate resources and resolve cross-functional challenges.
  • Establish and maintain effective program governance, providing regular executive-level status reporting, dashboards, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating appropriately and driving timely resolution.
  • Manage program change requests, scope management, and associated commercial impacts.
  • Lead change management processes, ensuring scope changes are appropriately evaluated, approved, communicated, and documented.
  • Drive successful client implementations while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction throughout delivery and transition to ongoing operations.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive client stakeholders, serving as the primary escalation point throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned, measure program outcomes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Program Managers and Project Managers, promoting PMO best practices, delivery excellence, and professional development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, tools, templates, and delivery standards.
  • Support business development activities by participating in client presentations, solution workshops, proposal development, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Leverage experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise software implementations, and system integrations to successfully deliver technology solutions.
  • Perform other related duties and strategic initiatives as assigned.
