Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing or coordinating affordable lending or grant-based programs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with nonprofit or community development organizations
  • Familiarity with CRA-related programs and affordable housing initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day coordination and execution of affordable lending programs and community-based loan purchase activities.
  • Establish operating standards, documentation practices, and workflow coordination.
  • Monitor trends and identify operational risks or gaps; escalate as needed.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of DPP Advantage, AHP single-family, and PATH grants from intake through disbursement.
  • Review and validate documentation to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Draft retention agreements and coordinate grant funding activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for nonprofit and community partners.
  • Lead onboarding and provide ongoing education on program requirements and timelines.
  • Partner with internal lending and fulfillment teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Support identification and coordination of community-based loan purchase opportunities.
  • Communicate readiness status, documentation needs, and timelines.
  • Coordinate internal readiness without involvement in credit or approval decisions.
  • Partner with Secondary Marketing and program sponsors on submissions and disbursements.
  • Communicate program status and requirements to key stakeholders.
  • Act as escalation point for complex or high-risk scenarios.
  • Ensure secure document handling and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Follow internal controls, program guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits, reviews, and reporting tied to program execution.
  • Fully complies with all applicable enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Acts in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in training materials, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Responsible for reporting suspicious activity to Financial Intelligence.
  • Responsible to report all customer complaints as prescribed and procedure violations to management or HR.
  • Responsible to report ethical concerns as needed to Associated Bank’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.
