About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a Senior Program Integration Engineer to lead program-level integration for the Strategic Weapons Control (SWC) Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) portfolio. This role involves ensuring alignment across technical, schedule, and resource plans, identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement, and collaborating with various stakeholders including Engineering, Program Management, Production, and Navy. The engineer will analyze risks, schedules, and performance metrics, develop recovery actions, and travel as needed to support proposals and coordination. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience).
  • An additional 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be local and able to work onsite.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and EVMS or scheduling tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Expertise in program and product life cycles, financial processes, and coordination with multiple subcontractors.
  • Professional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively both independently and in teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of defense or federal contracting and experience with DCMA audits.

Responsibilities

  • Leading program-level integration for the Strategic Weapons Control (SWC) Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) portfolio, ensuring alignment across technical, schedule, and resource plans.
  • Identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation within defense and federal contracting environments.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Program Management, Production, and Navy stakeholders to maintain program health and achieve contractual milestones.
  • Analyzing risks, schedules, and performance metrics to develop recovery actions and ensure mission success.
  • Traveling as needed to support proposals, programs, and cross-team coordination.
  • Analyze the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.
  • Determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
  • Perform all aspects of Systems Engineering disciplines including Requirements Analysis, Use Cases and Data Flow Diagrams development as well as defining system default data definition through Interface Control Documents (ICDs) development.
  • Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems, as well as system integration and testing and regression testing of software.
