About The Position

As a Production Manager, you will be part of a business operations leadership team overseeing production of animal nutrition products across multiple manufacturing locations. The role focuses on efficient production while meeting Animal Nutrition and Health, Cargill corporate, and government guidelines. It involves promoting and maintaining a culture of safety, leading production management practices, managing personnel and employee relations, setting performance standards, establishing budgets and managing costs, assisting with capital projects, and implementing reliability, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence initiatives. The position requires up to 50% travel across multiple plant locations within the region.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in an operations environment.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in people management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support a culture of safety and implementation of safety plans.
• Support activities that ensure environmental health and safety audit compliance.
• Support implementation of food safety and quality plans and activities that ensure compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis to address underlying causes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and programs through direct and remote influence.
• Champion key initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Temporarily fill in during plant manager transitions as needed.
• Support execution of continuous improvement, production efficiency, and reliability projects across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Support execution of assigned capital projects.
• Work on projects involving other business functions or plants as assigned.
• Oversee production of animal nutrition products efficiently across multiple manufacturing locations while meeting applicable corporate and government guidelines.
• Manage personnel and employee relations, set performance standards, establish budgets, and manage costs.
• Assist with management of capital projects and implement reliability and customer service excellence initiatives.
