Senior Product Specialist

JLL•Chicago, IL
•$93,000 - $115,000•Remote

About The Position

The Senior Product Specialist is an embedded product enablement partner for JLL’s Leasing technology group, responsible for enablement programs, adoption, and support operations for proprietary and AI tools, with a focus on Internal Lease Comps. The specialist works directly with brokers who confirm or correct lease terms extracted by AI, responding promptly, assessing corrections against source leases and local Research conventions, and communicating how broker feedback leads to changes. The role is proactive and requires understanding lease terms well enough to identify questionable values and determine when to consult others. The function is being built from the ground up. The specialist reports to the Senior Manager, Leasing Technologies Support – Americas, and partners with the Principal Product Manager for Internal Lease Comps. Success is measured by increasing the number of verified, correct comps delivered to Research each week in the markets covered. The role is remote, with the Central time zone preferred. The standard coverage window is 7:00 AM–7:00 PM CT. The position does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in leasing, tenant representation, or commercial real estate.
  • Hands-on commercial real estate or leasing/tenant-representation background, including practical knowledge of Full Service Gross, Modified Gross, and NNN leases and how tenant improvements and free rent are quoted and vary by market and product type.
  • Direct experience sourcing, verifying, or circulating lease comps with brokers.
  • Comfort working with data and AI tools, including dashboards, spreadsheets, and Jira or similar tools for tracking data-quality issues.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output rather than accepting it at face value.
  • Clear, fast, confident communication skills, including explaining lease terms to senior brokers and disagreeing when the lease supports a different conclusion.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage ownership.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • SQL experience; it is a plus but not required.
  • JLL experience and existing relationships with brokers or Research teams.
  • Central time zone availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for brokers confirming or correcting AI-extracted lease comp terms, responding to confirmations, corrections, and questions within minutes during working hours and always the same day.
  • Proactively identify brokers and markets with low response activity and investigate the reasons by email, phone, or through team leads.
  • Evaluate broker corrections against the lease and local Research conventions; log the broker’s value, the relevant lease clause, and the decision.
  • Capture broker complaints and feedback directly, and follow up when an issue has been resolved.
  • Handle requests to keep specific comps confidential according to JLL data-handling protocols and flag potential conflicts to Research.
  • Create broker-facing playbooks, including reply templates, market checklists, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with local Research leads to agree on market definitions for rent type, free rent, tenant improvements, and operating expenses before market expansion, and refine templates accordingly.
  • Present directly to brokers, including attending broker all-hands meetings with the Product Manager when appropriate.
  • Guide the function through its early, ambiguous stage in the absence of an existing playbook.
  • Evaluate AI-extracted lease comp data against source leases and broker feedback, providing human judgment before downstream Research use.
  • Log AI-versus-broker discrepancies, including the AI value, broker value, and determining lease clause, to support ongoing AI accuracy testing and improvement.
  • Turn logged issues into actionable engineering backlog items with supporting evidence and follow up with brokers after resolution.
  • Use automation selectively, such as auto-acknowledging simple confirmations, to reserve judgment time for complex corrections.
  • Track and report weekly broker reply rates for each covered market, documenting reasons for underperformance.
  • Report trends in corrections, broker and market response activity, and recurring complaints, rather than totals alone.
  • Maintain an accurate correction log as a reliable dataset for Engineering and Research.
  • Build and maintain trusted senior-level broker relationships, including handling disagreements supported by lease evidence without damaging relationships.
  • Represent broker feedback to product and Research teams and translate recurring input into prioritized, evidence-based improvements.
  • Partner with the Product Manager on day-to-day market and broker prioritization.
