Senior Product Quality Engineer, Server and Storage

IREN•San Francisco, CA
•$240,000 - $300,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Product Quality Engineer, CPU Server and Storage owns manufacturing and product quality for IREN’s CPU compute servers and storage systems, including x86 and ARM servers and NVMe storage systems. This senior individual-contributor role sets quality standards for mass production deployment and serves as the senior escalation point for server and storage hardware failures. The role partners with Engineering, Technical Sourcing, Supply Chain Operations, Data Center Operations, and OEM/ODM/JDM manufacturing partners to deliver hardware that meets IREN’s cost, quality, and yield targets at scale. The position owns quality from new product introduction (NPI) through volume production and sustaining. It oversees pilot builds, factory assembly, production ramps, rack integration, liquid cooling, and system bring-up; defines test methods and acceptance criteria; leads failure analysis and corrective actions; and advances system-level validation and rack-level test coverage. It also maintains quality and production documentation, BOMs, engineering changes, supplier governance, and quality performance reporting. IREN describes itself as an AI Cloud Service Provider operating data centers with 100% renewable energy and a commitment to responsible, sustainable solutions. The role is hybrid in San Francisco and requires reliable commuting to the assigned office on scheduled in-office days, plus domestic and international travel to manufacturing, supplier, integration, and data center sites. Pre-employment background checks and substance testing may be required under company policies.
