Senior Product Owner

Privia Health•Remote, USA
•$110,000 - $130,000

About The Position

The Senior Product Owner is a strategic product leader focused on business automation and AI applications. The role owns end-to-end product execution, roadmap definition, and delivery of business outcomes, combining hands-on product ownership—including sprint planning, backlog management, and close engineering partnership—with data-driven product strategy. With substantial autonomy, the Senior Product Owner uses product analytics to develop roadmaps, align executive stakeholders, and establish product practices. The position is intended for a senior-level operator with the potential to move into a Manager of Product Management capacity. The role develops multi-quarter roadmaps tied to business goals, translates operational problems into prioritized requirements and milestones, and researches market and competitor offerings. It leads the delivery of AI and automation features, evaluates build-versus-buy options with engineering, establishes testing and evaluation for model reliability and data quality, and enforces privacy and security requirements. The Senior Product Owner also supports product budget management, builds business cases, tracks unit economics and realized ROI, and adjusts features that do not meet cost or return targets. The role independently manages projects, dependencies, and roadblocks; creates requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; helps maintain SLAs, uptime, and performance metrics; and works with stakeholders to identify and address workflow pain points.

  • At least 2 years of product experience defining, launching, and managing AI or machine learning features.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute quickly in high-pace environments.
  • Experience managing product budgets, tracking cloud or API costs, and demonstrating positive ROI on delivered features.
  • Technical foundation sufficient to discuss API design, architecture trade-offs, and token costs directly with engineers.
  • Background in agile delivery, sprint planning, and backlog management in Jira.
  • Ability to investigate complex technical problems and make decisions independently.
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules, regulations, and patient privacy requirements.

  • Enforce data privacy and security rules.
  • Assist in managing product budgets with cost discipline.
  • Develop business cases for features, including expected payback, operational savings, or revenue impact.

  • Independently run projects, remove roadblocks, and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Write functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
