Senior Product Operations Manager

Apple•Cupertino, CA

About The Position

Join Apple Finance as an Order to Cash (O2C) Lead, supporting customers of many sizes across multiple regions and a wide variety of billing models, payment terms, and invoicing formats. The role owns and evolves an O2C function capable of handling diverse commercial structures, converting manual processes into a repeatable and auditable operating model, and scaling it globally within Apple’s finance ecosystem. The O2C Lead partners with Global Business Services, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Collections, and Sales to ensure invoices are accurate, payments are applied, and processes are audit-ready. The role supports billing operations across prepaid and postpaid models and monthly, quarterly, or annual cadences, including customer- and region-specific variations. It also supports revenue recognition, quarter-end close, audit readiness, expansion into new geographies, and commercial decisions involving deal structures, billing terms, and incentive-related calculations.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of building or re-architecting O2C processes in a global organization, especially in complex or ambiguous environments.
  • Deep knowledge of accounts receivable, credit management, invoicing, and cash application at scale.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of ambiguity and translate evolving requirements into durable processes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional partners at all levels.
  • Experience navigating cross-organizational dependencies at a large, matrixed company and identifying and managing interdependencies to keep initiatives on track.
  • Experience adapting quickly to shifting or unique stakeholder requirements and building influence and alignment across internal and external groups with competing priorities.
  • Experience mediating stakeholder disputes or negotiations and driving resolution with minimal escalation, including making difficult calls under pressure.
  • Experience distilling ambiguous, multi-variable problems into clear recommendations for executive audiences using structured frameworks or executive summaries.
  • Experience revisiting or reversing a prior decision based on new data or analysis, even after significant time or resources were invested, and owning the outcome with stakeholders.
  • Experience building a team from the ground up or significantly scaling an existing team, including recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring.
  • Experience identifying and addressing team or project resourcing gaps proactively before they become blockers.
  • Experience conducting user or stakeholder research, such as interviews, surveys, or feedback sessions, to inform product, program, or business decisions.
  • Track record of exceeding measurable goals or targets, with specific metrics where possible.
  • Experience presenting to and aligning senior stakeholders or executives on complex or ambiguous initiatives.
  • Experience prioritizing under competing deadlines and ambiguity and seeing initiatives through despite setbacks or resistance.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring team members toward individual goals, with examples of measurable growth or promotion outcomes.
  • Experience developing a strategy or approach from scratch, using structured analysis to decide what to cut and prioritize, with a specific example.

  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end O2C process, including order intake, invoicing, credit management, cash application, collections, and credits and adjustments.
  • Run flexible billing operations for prepaid and postpaid models, different billing cadences, and customer- and region-specific variations.
  • Standardize, document, and scale workflows that were previously handled ad hoc on a per-customer basis.
  • Partner with internal tools and systems teams to define billing-tool requirements that make manual processes fast, accurate, and auditable, and drive automation as processes mature.
  • Support revenue recognition, quarter-end close, and audit readiness in partnership with Accounting.
  • Support expansion into new geographies, including local invoicing, e-invoicing, and indirect tax requirements.
  • Partner with Sales Finance and deal desk teams on deal structuring, billing terms, and incentive-related calculations so commercial decisions reflect operational realities.
