About The Position

The Senior Product Manager of Software Solutions defines and manages the roadmap for MSD’s software products, enhancing customer experiences on its analytical platforms. The role owns the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch, adoption, and deprecation. It involves developing a deep understanding of customers’ current use of MSD software and identifying opportunities to improve their experience, then translating insights into requirements for future releases. The role develops and executes product-line strategy; prioritizes features with engineering; collaborates with Instrument and Assay Product Managers on integrated solutions; builds business cases for new offerings and portfolio expansion; and partners with development teams on innovation and operational excellence. It gathers customer feedback through commercial teams and voice-of-customer research, manages field feature requests, and turns insights into recommendations. The Senior Product Manager partners on product requirements, specifications, and performance metrics; supports launch materials and training; makes lifecycle decisions; and works with QA/RA to address applicable requirements such as data integrity, audit trails, and electronic records. The role also develops resources for customer IT and security reviews, including security questionnaire information, deployment architecture documentation, and validation documentation packages. It works with engineering, quality, operations, sales, scientific support, and customer experience teams to advance software programs, marketing and training, and customer adoption. Engagement with customer IT staff may be needed to understand and address issues. The position is performed in a standard office environment under a remote or hybrid model and may require occasional travel up to 20%. The annual base salary range is $116,600–$177,800. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage; a 401(k) plan with company matching; flexible spending accounts; company-paid short- and long-term disability insurance; group life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; paid parental leave; and an employee assistance program.
