Senior Product Manager, Data Products

Salesforce•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Data Products team defines and advances data experiences at Slack. It builds internal analytics, data science, and experimentation platforms used across the company, both directly and through agents such as Slackbot, Claude, and Codex. The team is reimagining how people and agents explore data and generate insights through intuitive, conversational experiences that support faster, more rigorous decisions. The Senior Product Manager will work across Slack’s data stack: improving the context that enables AI agents to discover and reason about data; providing agents with tools, MCP servers, and APIs for analysis and recommendations; building conversational analytics, dashboards, and notebooks; and evolving data platforms and pipelines to support reliable, sophisticated analytical workflows. As the team’s second product manager, this person will help define how Slack builds with and interacts with data. The role suits a technically minded builder with deep experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics, who uses coding agents and understands the needs of both data builders and consumers. The product manager will develop insights, prototype with engineering and design, and advance solutions toward products used by Slack customers and agents. They will collaborate with customers, engineers, data teams, and executives, set strategy and roadmaps, define success metrics, and continue iterating after launch.

  • Simplify experimentation and bring insights into Slack channels to make data-driven decisions the norm.
  • Advance products that help agents discover, interpret, and reason over Slack data.
  • Equip agents with tools, MCP servers, and APIs to investigate questions, run analyses, and deliver recommendations in the flow of work.
