About The Position

Salesforce is hiring a Senior Product Manager for Slack’s Data Products team. The team defines how Slack builds with and interacts with data, creating internal analytics, data science, and experimentation platforms used across the company. Its work includes enabling agents to discover and reason over Slack data, providing tools and APIs for investigation and analysis, developing conversational analytics and other data-exploration experiences, and evolving data platforms and pipelines for reliable analytical workflows. The Product Manager will help define the strategy and roadmap for this area, work with customers and cross-functional partners to understand workflows and product gaps, and prototype solutions with coding agents alongside engineering and design. The role covers solutions from early discovery through productization and ongoing iteration, with a focus on making data-driven decisions and experimentation easier and bringing insights into Slack channels where teams work. This is the second PM on the Data Products team. The role is suited to a technically minded product builder with roots in data science, data engineering, or analytics. The person will work closely with developers and data teams, generate insights, build prototypes, communicate technical tradeoffs to executives and engineers, and help turn internal tools into features for Slack customers.

  • Background in data science, data engineering, or product analytics.
  • Working knowledge of A/B testing and the statistics used to make ship decisions.
  • Hands-on experience building working prototypes with coding agents.
  • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and executives.

  • Set strategy and roadmap for the assigned product area.
  • Write product requirements and prototype solutions with coding agents alongside engineering and design.
  • Define success metrics, use them to guide prioritization and investment, and iterate after launch.
  • Help make data-driven decision-making more common across Slack.
  • Simplify the design, definition, launch, and analysis of experiments.
  • Bring data insights into Slack channels so teams can share and act on them where they work.
