About The Position

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our Farris team in Brecksville, OH! As our Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the management of multiple product lines and their growth. You will connect with customers, industry leaders, and the sales network to research and identify critical trends, customer needs, and competitive threats as well as determine marketing campaigns, strategic product planning, and long term technology roadmaps. You will oversee product health assuring performance, quality, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, and Technical field or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Project Management Training
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong time, project, and portfolio management.
  • Ability to create strong relations and collaborate cross functionally to achieve results.
  • Understanding of products, applications and customer base.
  • Strong Market research skills: (Voice of Customer): surveys, interview & observation, focus groups.
  • Must have 4+ years’ experience in major industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical Refining, and Industrial Gases.
  • Knowledgeable of processes and pressure safety applications

Responsibilities

  • Develop/maintain a network in the focus markets to ensure robust conduit to the target industries business conditions, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Champion product portfolio and takes a lead role in building a consensus to establish/maintain technology roadmap and prioritizing future research & development investments and new product development portfolio.
  • Assess needs and opportunities for new products through research and feasibility analysis.
  • Develop goals, budget and strategic business plans for the product lines.
  • Recommend ways to expand sales and profitability in specific markets.
  • Identify opportunities for diversification while balancing the need to grow and preserve the core products and services.
  • Responsible for product health and works with customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing to develop/revise product specifications to resolve issues and enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
  • Participation in projects for product modification, performance enhancement, cost reduction.
  • Assist with margin analysis, forecasting, and pricing strategy.
  • Lead commercialization effort.
  • Work with Marketing Team and Engineering to ensure high-quality production of product technical literature as well as to drive for appropriate presence in digital platforms and technical publications.
  • Drive product position, promotion, and advertising.
  • Conduct product training sessions and manages relevant trade shows.
  • Train sales network on comparative product analysis; feature and benefit summaries; supporting promotional material; target customers; and product marketing strategies.
  • Establish schedules and ensures that priorities and deadlines are met within budgetary constraints.
