About The Position

This role involves performing various machining processes for valve repair. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for operating a range of machinery to repair and recondition valve components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently and interface with customers.

Requirements

High School or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years in the valve repair industry.
TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport.
Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
Tenacious.
Professionally Articulate.
Professional in appearance and actions.
Demonstrated ability to read, write and verbalize in a professional, organized manner.
Highly inquisitive about industrial process industry.
Successful in interfacing with customers, internal and external.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities.

Technical/Trade School preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely and accurately perform machining processes.
Maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO).
Machine nozzles and discs including polishing using the lathe in the shop and the field.
Machine broken studs on small bodies using the drill press.
Hone internal bores.
Use magnetic drill for stud removal.
Use drill press or pneumatic tools for disking seats.
Machine flanges (raised-face, RTJ ring joint, Grayloc, lens-ring, etc.).
Machine seats and trim (gate, globe, and check valves).
Machine gear operator segments.
Operate milling machine, VTL, drill press, surface grinder, horizontal mill, manual lathes, honing tools, band and cut-off saw, and Lap Master.
