About The Position

This role involves performing various machining processes for valve repair, including operating a range of machinery and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently and interface with customers. The duties may be adjusted at management's discretion based on business needs.

  • A minimum of 2 years in the valve repair industry

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately perform machining processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of digital read-outs (DRO).
  • Machine nozzles and discs including polishing using the lathe in the shop and the field.
  • Machine broken studs on small bodies using the drill press.
  • Hone internal bores.
  • Use magnetic drill for stud removal.
  • Use drill press or pneumatic tools for disking seats.
  • Machine flanges (raised-face, RTJ ring joint, Grayloc, lens-ring, etc.).
  • Machine seats and trim (gate, globe, and check valves).
  • Machine gear operator segments.
  • Operate milling machine, VTL, drill press, surface grinder, horizontal mill, manual lathes, honing tools, band and cut-off saw, and Lap Master.
