Senior Product Manager - Technical

Deep SyncKirkland, WA
Onsite

About The Position

Deep Sync is the industry leader in deterministic identity and AI-powered data solutions. Leveraging our 35-year foundation of compiling direct mail-grade datasets, Deep Sync develops data-first technologies that power marketing, measurement, AI, and business intelligence for agencies and brands with our fully deterministic identity graph, privacy-first audiences, comprehensive data solutions, and integrations with leading platforms and cloud providers. This role will own the product surface for customer audience selection, purchase, and delivery into marketing channels, built on a new platform. It also involves new product development, taking ideas from hypothesis to paid offerings and discontinuing underperforming products. The products must be AI-first ready, serving machines as readily as people through agents and natural language interfaces. The position requires fluency in advertising, data, and AI, with an understanding of match rates, lookalike modeling, and data discrepancies. The company operates a flat organization with a fast product development cadence. The position is based in Kirkland, WA.

Requirements

  • AdTech or MarTech product experience, including building and releasing products in audience data, demand/supply platforms, CDPs, identity/onboarding providers, clean rooms, or measurement.
  • Understanding of identity data, both online and offline, including deterministic and probabilistic matching, first-party data onboarding, differences between reaching individuals via mail files and bid requests, the impact of identifier withdrawal, and privacy regulations.
  • Exposure to or demonstrated understanding of both consumer and business marketing.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions quickly, assess options, state trade-offs, and explain the reasoning.
  • Experience taking a product from proposal to paying customer, including testing before building.
  • Data fluency, including strong SQL, familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or S3/Parquet data lakes, and the ability to validate coverage and match rates.
  • AI fluency, including practical use of current AI tools for analysis, prototyping, and writing; ability to judge where AI models/agents fit in a product and how their output is evaluated.
  • Written clarity, including plain sentences, stated positions, and visible reasoning.
  • Experience in stopping work on features, roadmap items, or projects, and the ability to describe costs and decision rationale.
  • Experience with distributed working environments, particularly with teams in India, requiring detailed written communication.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Identify opportunities for new products, such as new audience packages, pricing models, or solutions to unmet customer needs.
  • Conduct early validation with a small number of customers, using pre-agreed metrics and short written findings.
  • Determine the appropriate placement of AI models or agents within the product, specify output evaluation methods, and demonstrate ideas with working prototypes.
  • Design products for machine consumption, ensuring predictable interfaces, described data, and actionable output for downstream systems.
  • Manage the progression or discontinuation of product ideas, ensuring proposals do not remain in the proposal stage for extended periods.
  • Engage with sales, delivery, and client-facing teams to gather insights on product performance and customer needs.
  • Understand the distinct needs and measurement criteria for both consumer and business marketing.
  • Align with product marketing on how product results are presented to the market, focusing on which audiences and attributes sell well.
  • Determine the value of maintaining integrations with platforms like The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta, Amazon, TikTok, LiveRamp, Snowflake, and Databricks marketplaces, and define completion criteria for each.
