About The Position

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to join their Product & UX organization. This role will lead and define the RCM product strategy for WellNow Urgent Care, reporting into TAG’s centralized product leadership. The Senior PM will act as the RCM subject matter expert, responsible for improving net collection rate, days in AR, and denial rates across over 150 centers through technology-driven solutions. This is a high-visibility position requiring deep RCM domain expertise, strong executive communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders to align on product investment priorities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience with a demonstrated track record of implementing and improving healthcare technology best practices.
  • Proven success shipping products that drive measurable financial and operational outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management (provider-side, payer-side, or health tech).
  • Hands-on knowledge of urgent care or ambulatory RCM workflows including patient registration, real-time insurance eligibility verification, CPT/ICD-10 coding, charge capture, claim scrubbing, clearinghouse integrations, payer adjudication rules, denial management, and patient collections.
  • Demonstrated success in directing and executing complex product management initiatives across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing multi-product RCM portfolios and translating operational pain points into scalable technology solutions.
  • Strong technical and operations acumen: ability to understand the implications of EHR/EMR integrations, clearinghouse connections, payer APIs, data quality, and back-end services on RCM workflow efficiency, claim acceptance rates, and reimbursement timelines.
  • Fluency in RCM KPIs and financial performance metrics, including net collection rate, days in accounts receivable (AR), first-pass claim acceptance rate, denial rate, cost-to-collect, and patient collection rate.
  • Proven ability to connect product investments directly to financial outcomes and present ROI to executive leadership.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and applicable Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations as they relate to urgent care settings.
  • Ability to translate regulatory changes into product requirements and compliance controls.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, statistics, economics, or healthcare administration required.
  • Proven skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive product decisions and adoption.
  • Entrepreneurial with a strong bias toward action and results; self-directed and able to solve complex RCM business challenges, manage shifting payer requirements, and prioritize work in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment.
  • Ability to lead without direct authority, building credibility and trust across billing operations, IT, clinical, finance, and compliance teams.
  • Ability to conduct own analyses and leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
  • Drive to become the recognized subject matter expert in RCM product management, continuously deepening domain expertise and sharing knowledge.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex RCM workflows and product tradeoffs clearly to both technical teams and non-technical executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively understand the pain points of billing staff, coders, denial management specialists, and clinical operations leaders.
  • Analyze claims data, AR aging reports, denial trend analysis, and clearinghouse rejection patterns to identify systemic root causes.
  • Own and drive the RCM product roadmap, identifying opportunities to transform manual processes into efficient, technology-driven solutions.
  • Frame all product recommendations with a clear understanding of financial and operational business value, building models for ROI projections, denial rate impact, and net collection rate improvement.
  • Connect product decisions to measurable outcomes and present business cases to finance and operations leadership.
  • Translate complex billing and payer workflow problems into clear, actionable product requirements, problem statements, business requirements, and user stories.
  • Present product strategy and performance updates to senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • Work closely with UX and Engineering teams to create low-friction product experiences for RCM workflows.
  • Collaborate iteratively with developers and business analysts, balancing technical feasibility with operational needs.
  • Define product MVPs for RCM capabilities such as automated eligibility verification and denial management workflows.
  • Motivate and align teams across UX, IT, marketing, and operations without direct reporting authority.
  • Build credibility with RCM operations leads and executive stakeholders to drive product adoption and prioritize investments.
  • Navigate diverse stakeholders, including center operators, RCM operations, finance leadership, payer relations, compliance, and TAG central teams, to drive alignment.
  • Manage competing priorities and differing expectations to maximize revenue recovery and support patient financial experiences.
  • Lead rigorous, data-driven prioritization for the RCM product portfolio, balancing short-term wins with long-term strategic investments.
  • Craft and refine roadmaps that deliver financial impact and respond to payer rule changes and regulatory shifts.
  • Build RCM products with clear performance metrics, designing dashboards and reporting frameworks to track key performance metrics.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize the revenue cycle, demonstrate ROI of product investments, and present performance results to senior leadership.
  • Act as an effective member of agile delivery teams, shipping impactful RCM product features on time.
  • Own the RCM product roadmap end-to-end, spanning patient registration, insurance verification, real-time eligibility checks, charge capture, claims submission, denial management, appeals automation, and patient billing communications.
  • Ensure product solutions reduce claim denial rates, accelerate reimbursement timelines, and minimize manual intervention.
  • Define and drive product features that proactively surface denial root causes, automate appeals workflows, and reduce rework.
  • Partner with RCM operations to establish feedback loops between denial data and front-end process changes.
  • Champion patient-centric billing experiences, defining product requirements for transparent statements, self-serve payment options, automated reminders, and digital support.
  • Balance financial recovery goals with patient trust and retention.
  • Stay informed about the evolving RCM and urgent care technology landscape, monitoring competitor products, AI/automation capabilities, payer rules, and CMS regulations.
  • Bring external insights into roadmap decisions and advise leadership on investment opportunities and risks.
  • Act in line with WellNow’s and TAG’s core values, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and ethical decision-making.
  • Ensure all RCM product solutions maintain full compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, Medicare/Medicaid billing rules, and applicable state regulations.
