Senior Product Manager - Payments

UnitedMasters is seeking a systems-thinking Product Manager with a strong technical background to lead the future of creator payments on their platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and scaling the payments business, developing a deep expertise in music royalties, and managing a team. They should have experience in product management, particularly in royalties or payments, and possess exceptional analytical skills. The Product Manager will work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to drive functionality and quality improvements in the payments system.

- Build and champion a roadmap of product features and improvements that help creators get paid - Be the product owner of all external and internal facing royalty processing and payments products - Drive functionality and quality improvements in these systems - Develop a deep expertise in how music royalties are accounted and paid out to rights holders - Manage 1-2 direct reports - Experience as a product manager on a royalties or payments based product - Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate thinking - Customer obsession with a strong bias for action - 5+ years experience in product management, launching features from start to finish - 2+ years growing and optimizing a payments-related product - Strong technical skills and ability to explain complex systems that have been built or managed - Proven experience translating big, ambiguous problems into clear plans - SQL proficiency - Making tradeoffs between speed, scale, and cost - Documenting requirements and managing workflow using JIRA/Confluence - Working with third party APIs and SDKs, and discussing technical problems with engineers and other stakeholders - Building a web app (HTML/Javascript + API) - Using the javascript debugger in Chrome or Safari - Bonus points if you have experience paying out revenue to creators.
