Senior Product Manager, Orchestration

NuixReston, VA
Hybrid

About The Position

Reporting to the Group Product Manager, Data Platform, the Senior Product Manager, Orchestration owns the strategy and roadmap for Nuix Automate — the automation and orchestration layer of Nuix Neo, and one of the highest-profile, most strategically critical capabilities in the Nuix portfolio. Its functionality is relied on by a large and growing set of the world’s highest-profile organizations across eDiscovery, Investigations, Data Governance, and Forensic Investigations. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for a results-oriented product manager who ships at pace in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. You will act as the voice of the customer, drive innovation in workflow automation — including how AI agents reshape what orchestration means — and partner with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to deliver capability that drives acquisition, activation, and monetization. You will bring an informed perspective on AI-native practices and ensure the way you discover, prototype, and deliver reflects what “great” looks like as AI reshapes how software is built.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally focused on automation, orchestration, or data processing software in data-heavy SaaS or enterprise environments.
  • A strong background in endpoint and cloud enterprise collections, with exposure to eDiscovery, Investigations, Data Governance, or Forensic Investigations domains.
  • In-depth knowledge of workflow automation, orchestration, and reporting tools — hands-on experience with products like Rampiva or similar is a plus, but we care about your grasp of the problem space, not fluency in any one tool.
  • Hands-on experience building or shipping AI-native product capabilities — you’ve done it, not just overseen it.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional outcomes without direct authority, working collaboratively with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to achieve product goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you use data to identify trends, inform decisions, and justify investment.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity — you thrive when the map is incomplete and build clarity through action, not process.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience — we care about what you’ve built, not what’s on your wall).
  • Familiarity with AI-native development workflows, agentic automation, and a point of view on how AI reshapes the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience delivering products through a significant legacy-to-SaaS technology transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and drive the strategy for Nuix’s Automate offering, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market demands, and the broader Nuix Neo platform vision — in close partnership with the Group Product Manager, Data Platform.
  • Translate market signals, customer data, and technical capabilities into a roadmap that drives acquisition, activation, and monetization — and compounds over time.
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for differentiation and positioning of orchestration within Nuix Neo.
  • Drive innovation in workflow automation and orchestration by analyzing customer requirements, market trends, and the rapidly evolving role of AI agents in automating investigation and data processing workflows.
  • Explore and validate how AI-native orchestration — agentic workflows, intelligent routing, and automated decision points — changes what customers expect from Automate, and build that thinking into the roadmap rather than bolting it on.
  • Own product success metrics anchored to business outcomes (e.g., acquisition rates, activation depth, monetization per cohort, workflow throughput) and use them to make prioritization trade-offs between new capability, technical debt, and platform stability.
  • Act as the voice of the customer: gather signal through direct interaction with key clients to identify pain points, prioritize product capabilities, and improve user experience — asking about past behavior, not hypotheticals.
  • Run lightweight experiments and prototypes — including AI-assisted prototyping — to validate the riskiest assumptions before committing engineering investment.
  • Bridge Engineering and Go-To-Market teams to ensure seamless product development, positioning, and launch for Automate capability and Nuix Neo solutions.
  • Own delivery from ideation through development, release, and post-launch support, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality software.
  • Equip Sales teams with the knowledge, collateral, and tools needed to effectively position and sell orchestration to target markets, and maintain product documentation, release notes, and training materials for internal teams and customers.
  • Lead the resolution of complex product-related issues, collaborating with support teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay across the evolving landscape of AI-native development practices and bring an informed view of what good looks like — from how product teams work, to how AI reshapes automation and orchestration products themselves.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and adoption of modern product management practices (data-driven discovery, continuous delivery, user-centric design, and AI-augmented workflows) across the product group.
