About the position
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Bookkeeping Automation team at Pilot. This role is crucial to our mission of revolutionizing the financial back office. As a Senior Product Manager, you will take ownership of a key aspect of our product and drive substantial business impact. You will collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap, and use qualitative research and quantitative analysis to inform product decisions. Additionally, you will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and launch.
Responsibilities
- Owning a key aspect of Pilot's product and delivering substantial business impact through that product
- Defining metrics to measure progress and demonstrate business impact
- Engaging with customers and internal users to help define vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and prioritize their needs
- Synthesizing qualitative research with quantitative analysis to inform product decisions
- Owning and driving the product lifecycle from ideation through implementation and launch
- Building products that demonstrably move the needle on business metrics
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Thriving in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Background in finance or accounting would be highly advantageous
Requirements
- At least five years of product management experience
- Proven track record of building products that have a demonstrable impact on business metrics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with autonomy
- Background in finance or accounting is advantageous
