Senior Product Engineer
About The Position
MOXFIVE is building an AI investigation platform that brings frontline cyber-incident response experience to analysts. The Senior Product Engineer will work closely with forensic analysts and responders to identify problems, decide what to build, and deliver features through to effective use in production. The role combines product discovery, full-stack engineering, AI product development, interface design, and measurement of product outcomes. The engineer owns features from initial customer problem through implementation and validation, shaping the roadmap with product management and engineering leadership. The work includes designing interfaces for analysts to direct AI agents, review their findings, and trace findings to supporting evidence; prototyping solutions to investigation bottlenecks; and translating responder practices into agent tools and workflows in partnership with platform engineers.
Requirements
- Experience owning features from customer problems through production, with the ability to explain what was shipped, why it was built, and what was learned from user behavior.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills across a modern web frontend and backend services in Go or Python, with a track record of shipping production systems.
- Experience building products on LLMs, including tool use, structured output, and interfaces that let people review and correct agent outputs.
- Understanding of how AI systems fail and how to design for those failures.
- Regular use of coding agents in development, with the ability to review and verify their output.
- Ability to design clear interfaces for dense, technical data without waiting on a designer.
- Ability to query large datasets to understand feature usage and effectiveness.
- Clear communication of trade-offs to analysts, engineers, and executives, in writing and in person.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building security products or familiarity with digital forensics, incident response, or security telemetry.
- Experience building products for experts in high-stakes fields such as legal, healthcare, or finance.
- Experience as an early engineer or founder taking a product from zero to its first users.
Responsibilities
- Design and build interfaces where analysts direct agents, review findings, and trace findings to the supporting evidence.
- Identify where investigations slow down, determine which problems are worth solving, and test ideas with working prototypes.
- Translate experienced responders’ investigation practices into agent tools and workflows, partnering with platform engineers on underlying capabilities.
- Instrument shipped features and use results to guide subsequent product decisions.
- Work with product management and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap for owned areas.
- Own features from customer problem through production and ensure they work for the people they were built for.
